Minimum age to purchase and drink alcohol is 18 years old.

Blood-alcohol limit is 0.05% (0.5g per litre of blood) while driving.

Drugs

All drugs are decriminalized

One of the few countries in the world where all drugs are decriminalized. It means you will not go to jail and it will not be on your criminal record if you get caught. However, you could still get a fine, rehabilitation, community service or a combination of the three.

Prostitution is legal (in a way of exchanging sex for money). Brothels are illegal.

Although drugs is decriminalized in Portugal, do not try to buy one (especially marijuana) at the main square in Lisbon while someone is offering them to you because firstly it's not legal, and second they are not even selling the real marijuana :)

Buffalo game is quite spread in Lisbon nightlife which means that if you're caught drinking from the "wrong hand" you have to finish your drink as quickly as possible. Especially popular among the students.
